Students in Grades 11 and 12 follow the Diploma Programme (DP). The DP prepares students for university and encourages them to ask challenging questions, learn how to learn, develop a strong sense of their own identity and culture and develop the ability to communicate with and understand people from other countries and cultures. Students at the Diploma level are expected to meet the demands of this rigorous and challenging programme whilst at the same time be leaders and positive role models in the school and wider community. The IB Diploma is recognised by the world’s leading universities.
The DP was the first of the IB programmes to be offered and was introduced in 1969. With over half a million students from 119 countries graduating since its inception.
