Nishat (Nish) Damji

Deputy Head in charge of Early Childhood

Nish completed her schooling in Kenya and the UK and obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education (with Honours) in Canada. She is currently working on her Master of Education at Murdoch University. Nish is multilingual and has global experience. Her educational  expertise  includes  philosophies  of learning  through  play, Montessori,  International  Baccalaureate Early  Years  Programme  and  inspiration  from  the  Reggio  Emilia  approach.

Nish  has  eighteen  years  of  teaching experience in Hong Kong, Canada and Dubai. She has successfully implemented Early Childhood Education (ECE) programmes in Hong Kong, the Early Years Programme (EYP) at Uptown Primary School and most recently a bilingual early childhood centre in Dubai.

She has undergone extensive professional development  locally and internationally, including  training  in  leadership  and  mentoring  and  IB  PYP  workshops.   She has  been  a  presenter  at  several conferences including the prestigious ECE World Forum in Mexico.
